With over 8 million registered vehicles in Canada, the most we've ever witnessed, it is apparent that consumers need a vehicle for either personal use or pleasure. As the number of vehicles increases on Canadian roads, the likelihood of getting involved in a collision may also increase. That's why automotive manufactures have invested billions of dollars towards vehicle and passenger safety. They have also focused on improving technology and convenience because automotive consumers from St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Beaumont, Leduc, Spruce Grove, Devon, Stony Plain, Fort Saskatchewan and surrounding areas of Alberta are utilizing their vehicles more than ever. It cannot be overstated how much car safety has improved over the years, with certain manufactures taking the lead in research and development.
In the past, car safety devices consisted mainly of seat belts, and that was about it. Not until government bodies got involved did the industry start to see its importance. Currently, you can find a slew of driver assistance technologies coupled with airbags and unique chassis structures to keep occupants safe. MINI has jumped on this moving train of safety to bring consumers some of the most technologically advanced and safest vehicles on the road.

Invisible Rollover Protection System
If your MINI Convertible ever senses that a potential rollover is about to occur, it is able to deploy a frame-mounted safety bar in a fraction of a second. The bar is embedded into the rear seat belt housing and disguised by matte black caps.
Dynamic Stability Control
This system utilizes the braking system and engine deceleration to help control power to the wheels. This, in return, will help to reduce situations where oversteer and understeer may occur.
Breakaway Engine Mounts
If your MINI detects a head-on collision, a set of sensors will engage a system that partially breaks your vehicle's engine mounts and allows it to slide underneath the firewall rather than into it. The main purpose behind this system is to prevent the engine from entering the cabin.
Electronic Brakeforce Distribution
This system actively distributes braking force to individual wheels depending on the amount of real-time load and balance.
Rear-View Camera
MINI's standard Rear-View Camera with Park Distance Control will help you get into any spot you want. A high-resolution screen will provide you with a clear and crisp view of what's behind. If you have any questions regarding any of these great features don't hesitate to contact us.
